Nothing ruins a Gold Coast holiday like a tooth that starts throbbing at 2 am. If that's you, the first thing to know is that you can be seen without a Medicare card, without Australian insurance and without a referral — you just call us. On our clinic days (Monday to Wednesday and select Saturdays by appointment) we hold time for urgent cases and will do our best to fit you in the same day.
We're on Trickett Street, a few minutes' walk from Cavill Avenue, the Surfers Paradise tram stop and most beachfront hotels. Phone (07) 5636 6068 as early as you can — don't just book online — so we can triage you and give first-aid advice over the phone. If it's outside our hours and you have severe swelling, uncontrolled bleeding or facial trauma, go to Gold Coast University Hospital's emergency department.
What to expect as a visitor
- Priority triage over the phone, in English, Spanish or Portuguese
- An emergency exam and X-ray is typically $150–$300; treatment is quoted before we start
- Itemised receipt and a written treatment report for your travel insurance claim
- Honest advice on what must be fixed now and what can safely wait until you're home
